POST PROCESSING
An important part of having genuine and natural portraits or wedding photos is to process them in a natural style that lets your true beauty shine. Unlike most photographers, retouching is included with any printed photo you order.
I come from a family of artists, so I didn't have to look far when I wanted an expert retouch artist for all of my work. While I do have basic retouching skills, my uncle, Jerome Bush, is a Graphic Artist and Retoucher with a BFA from Fisk University, and is far superior to mine, and I want the best for my clients. In Uncle Jerry's words, "I have a fine art background, which fueled my love of the graphic arts. I am a professional who is very passionate about my work. I love and enjoy what I do, which is color correction, retouching, and manipulating images. I have and always will continue to deliver work in a highly professional standard and never to compromise my work ethic".
Editing
Editing is simply the process of selecting which images will be delivered. I remove the blinks, blurries, underexposed (too dark), and overexposed (too bright) images. The color and exposure will then be adjusted on the selected images. This is color & exposure correction and what most think of when think of "edited" images. For weddings or events with 100s of images, this is done as a batch process rather than one image at a time.

| This photo was intentionally shot in dark conditions so details in the sky can be seen. If I had exposed for the bride, all details in the sky would be lost forever. | The entire image is adjusted to increase exposure or add brightness so the bride and the details of her dress are clearly seen. But you can still see the clouds. |
In the final printed version, the image is adjusted individually to add the warmth of sunsetback in.
Retouching
We don't use trendy or gimmicky Photoshop techniques that take the focus away from your images and date your photos.

| Reflection in glasses can be a problem, particularly without an anti-glare coating. | Reflection is removed. |

| Even with a great makeup artist, there can still be shine or sweat. | Shiny areas minimized. Light skin smoothing. |
Photo Restoration
In addition to retouching, my uncle is also an expert at photo restoration. Below is a restoration of a WWII era photo of my grandfather. The original was cracked, has pen marks & what looks like a cigarette burn.
