My youngest nephew turned two last fall and celebrated in style with a race car theme birthday party. His little party was held during lunch hour at his school where his mom also teaches. Black and white checkered balloons, wallpaper and candles decorated the place, while a bright red tablecloth with table runner that looks like a race track set the tone. What racing themed party would be complete without a cake shaped like a race car and two little candles on it to signify this milestone. The two miles per hour speed limit sign was also a clever touch.
Of course my little nephew didn’t seem aware that he was the center of this big to do. But he was definitely happy to eat cake & play with race cars. His classmates also welcomed the change in routine. I don’t remember if any music was playing but there was lots of dancing, running and jumping going on.
